Seems like my garden changes from day to day this time of year.
The tulips have faded already but my lilacs are at their peak.
Was it just last month this rustic arch looked like this?
Maybe it's because we had more rain and snow than normal this year
that my perennials are bigger than usual.
This mugho pine is covered with new growth "candles."
Even the alliums are waist high!
This one exploded over night.
Bleeding Hearts are always a springtime favorite!
And don't forget Forget Me Nots!
Is it any wonder Spring is my favorite time of year in the garden?

DeleteWhat a difference a month can make! Your flowers are so lovely and I am looking forward to my bleeding hearts blooming. They have just made their way up out of the cold ground. But it's very cold here so everything is about two weeks behind. Apparently it will warm up this coming weekend and I am so looking forward to that too. Thank you for sharing your lovely post with us and have a delightful day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Thank you for your kind words Sandi. It's been cold and rainy here too but I think everything will survive. I hope your weather turns mild soon so you can get your hands dirty! Hugs,
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful garden! Thanks for joining Home Sweet Home!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry.Lovely to hear from you.
ReplyDeleteStunning Pat. I love that you have purple n your garden too! I have alliums that just burst open and am loving them. Let me ask you a question, I love lilac but have heard to can be a big problem with the root system. Have you heard that as well?
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine. I haven't heard that about lilacs and I haven't had any problems. I have other bushes/trees that do send up a million suckers like sand cherry, crabapple, etc. but lilacs are well behaved. Good luck.
Deletetypo....."it" can be a problem....silly fingers went too fast :-)
ReplyDeleteYou garden photos are so pretty. Love the alliums. I know Christine has them in her yard as well.. The Bleeding hearts are gorgeous. I must add some of these babies to our garden. Thanks for sharing at DI&DI.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. Just a note on alliums...they do tend to reseed themselves merrily but are easy to pull out if you don't like where they land. I love em just about anywhere.
