Colorado Eye Candy - What a Treat!

Is November really just around the corner?
Where has the summer gone?

But Colorado is so beautiful this time of year and I'm ready for a little change.
Emphasis on "little." No snow yet please.

So, here's a bit of Colorado eye candy to welcome November.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
Ready for a walking tour in the old neighborhoods of Denver?
Let's go!

Rocky Mountain High!

Happy November!

  1. Hi Pat,
What stunning pictures of CO! The first photo is gorgeous and I know it's beautiful there because my son tells me so. He loves hiking and touring historical places. He plans to visit Molly Brown's house.
Your little black bathroom has some very nice touches. The shower curtain is lovely! My son has been to France three times and when he went to Provence, he brought me back a lovely cake of lavender soap. It smells dreamy! Have a lovely weekend, my friend.

    Hugs,
    Sandi

    1. Thank you Sandi! Yes, it is gorgeous and better every day. I bought my lavender soap here but it says it's made in Provence. Still, I bet the real thing smells better. Hope you are having a nice weekend and belated Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Oh wow, look at the colour. I was driving with daughter number 2 yesterday and we were commenting on the autumnal colour. Although things are turning here, there are lots of rusts and yellows and still a vast amount of green, it certainly looks pretty, but we don't get the vibrant reds en masse. We get some sneak peaks, our Virginia creeper is a fabulous colour but we don't get the huge amount of maples that are so fantastic, it is a far gentler colour scheme and nowhere near as dramatic. Enjoy these beautiful landscapes before they are all covered in white! Have a great weekend xx

    1. Thank you Susan. I'm sure the beautiful architecture more than makes up for the lack of vibrant colors there. Gentle is definitely beautiful too. The mountains are dusted with white but we don't usually get any significant snowfall until Halloween. Fingers crossed.

  3. Hi Sister, Beautiful pictures. Our colors are beginning to show up but we have rain and wind coming which will take down a lot of the leaves. Great photos.

  6. Thank you Cheri! My favorite also. Beautiful drapings of ivy make any house look like it's 500 years old!

    1. Thank you for visiting Amy. I may be a bit partial but I agree that Colorado is one of the top 5! I think the Pacific Northwest is gorgeous too.

  9. Beautiful - much more color than we have had here in North Carolina. Most of our trees are still green - strange fall we are having. Anyway, loved seeing Colorado in all its glory!

    1. Thank you Darlene! I haven't visited N. Carolina but imagine it must be spectacular once the leaves change. They could actually be turning as we speak!

    1. Hi Jann! Thanks for visiting. Yes, Co reminds me of northern Utah, just not as rocky. It's one of my favorite states! Right after Colorado! Ha!

  11. Gorgeous fall! Colorado is beautiful but I am glad I don't live there those cold winters are rough. LOL, thank you for sharing at Dishing it and Digging it link party. It's great having you.

    1. Thank you Vanessa! Our winters are actually becoming milder each year. Global warming? Some annuals I think won't make it through the winter keep coming back. We may be in Zone 6 soon. The fall is spectacular here and we seem to have more fruit on trees this year. Could it be the weather change?

    1. Thank you Diana! I think Fall is the best time of the year here in Colorado. Today was in the 70s, sunny and perfect for a little road trip to Castle Rock (south of Denver). Found a yard sale and scored eight old linen pillow cases and scarves for $5! Yay!
