Little tables always catch my eye.
Even though I really don't need another little table.
I've convinced myself I can always find a place for a tiny table.
How much room can they take up anyway?
Sometimes they'll squeeze into an empty space next to an easy chair.
Just right for a cup of coffee or a magazine.
A Goodwill find, this little beauty that I painted and distressed has curvy French lines.
Little tables are like those adorable dogs you see at the animal rescue organizations.
How can you not take one home with you?
They're just so cute.
(This little one came home with me!)

Little tables are perfect tucked into a small space to hold a CD player and a wire basket of CDs.
This one was just made for my vintage glass jars.
Another little table I fell for at an estate sale is this gold metal one with a glass top.
I slid some European postcards between a mirror and a glass top
for a fun look in the living room.

This round table came home with me from our local Paris Street Market
and made itself at home next to my couch.
The top is wood and the legs are metal.

We discovered this table at a yard sale.
Missing its top, we had a piece of thick glass cut to size.
It spent the summer on the patio and now nestles next to a cozy chair in the sunroom.
Visually, it takes up very little space.
Another little wire-framed table soaks up the morning sun in a southern window.
Little benches work well as little tables too.
This rustic bench caught my eye at an estate sale on a rainy Friday.
It was tossed into a muddy back yard, too "rustic" to sell.
But the bright green was so fresh, I could picture it on my front porch.
The green is almost a perfect match to the green of my house.
Once it dried out and Ron evened up the legs, it looked like it belonged.
A steal for $2.

Finally, this mid-century metal stand thinks it's a table.
I couldn't pass it up because it was RED!
It's been just about everywhere in my house
but I think I finally found the perfect spot for it in my office.

Little tables fill a niche without a lot of fuss.
And you have to admit, they're so cute, you just have to take them home.
It followed me home, dear.
Can I keep it?

What terrific finds! And the little white fur thing...too adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks Monika. The little white fur thing is my favorite too!
DeleteI love your tables!
ReplyDeleteMy grandma had a little table with a lamp on it that I always admired. The legs were metal serpents. The top was marble. There was some kind of very small, lacy metal shelf below. I adored it, with the lamp (made from driftwood by my mom). When my grandma moved to a nursing home, I got the table and the lamp and still have them, many decades later. There is always room for a little special table.
Thank you! Your grandma's table sounds beautiful and so different. You're lucky to have it now and I'm sure she's happy it has a good home.
DeleteThey follow me home too, Pat! They're so portable, and so useful. You have some great ones.
ReplyDeleteHey Rita! Thanks so much. You're right...they're so portable, maybe a little too much so! Ha.
DeleteI completely agree with you. I have a girlfriend who has always collected little tables and years ago I noticed the coziness they add to spaces. That convinced me to start finding and collecting them too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Stacey. They do add a cozy feeling and complement any style. Bet you've found some good ones!
DeleteGreat little tables and they all look wonderful in their locations.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lorraine!
DeleteOh my goodness so cute, I need some to.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris. You can't go wrong with a little table! Hope you find some!
DeleteI like all of your finds. The little green stool is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThank you Grammy! I love the green stool too. Can you believe it was laying in a mud puddle when I found it?
DeleteI thought I was the only one that loved little tables ... most of mine are benches. I would have surely brought home the sweet little green bench, muddy or not.
ReplyDeleteThank you Audrey. You're not alone! Benches are great too and I have several like you.
DeleteVery pretty styling...as usual!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Catherine!
DeleteThat's the trouble with little tables - just too easy to bring home. Their versatility seals the deals!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary! I had to laugh at your comment. That is the trouble with them...too easy to say no to!
DeleteYou have really inspired me, Pat! There are so many nooks and crannies in my home I could definitely use a few interesting tables. The more mismatched, the better!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog and am loving it!
Jane

DeleteLovely vignettes, I wish I had your space!
ReplyDeleteThank you Carole. Actually, I live in a very small house; it just looks like I have space in the pictures!
DeleteHi Sis, I wish we had a Paris Flea Market. Seriously, I love all your little tables and what you do with them. I showed your blog to a friend last night and the comment was she sure has an eye for decorating. Just thought I'd pass that along.
ReplyDeleteI especially like that little white furry one but don't think that it would hold much, at least not for very long.
Thanks Jan! Love hearing from you; we'll go to the street market next time! I can't resist a little table, even little white furry ones!
DeleteI love little tables also and your collection is a great one. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Marlene!
DeleteReally nice little vignettes. I can from the one picture that you have a lovely front porch. I enjoyed reading your blog very much

DeleteLittle tables can be irresistible! You have some great ones, especially that chippy green one! Visiting from Dishing it and Digging it!
ReplyDeleteThank you Dara!
DeleteLove the little tables. Our local thrift shops never seem to have anything good or a bargain anymore. But..when a neighbor moved, he left a little stool by the curb that is just the right height for taking photos of my floral arrangements before I sell them.
ReplyDeleteMyrna
Thank you Bkita! I love finding goodies on the curb or in the alley too. You never know what you'll find.
DeleteLove every one of them...I too have a weakness for little tables and always manage to find a place for them
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Yes, they're easy to fit right in. So irresistible.
DeleteAhhh you sure have some sweet little tables. Like that green chippy one the best.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tonita. You're not alone; seems a lot of people like that green bench. Me too.

Thanks Sandi! Hopefully, something will turn up. I can't wait for yard sale season! Pup just turned ten years old...hard to believe she's not a pup anymore. Hope you're having a great week.
DeleteMe too...love little tables. You've got a wonderful collection.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at AMAZE ME MONDAY!
Blessings,

Thanks so much Cindy! What's not to love?
DeletePat,
ReplyDeleteLittle tables are so versatile. When they are good finds, you can always sell them if you want another one.
Judith
Thank you Judith! I'm sure they'd sell if I could part with them. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.
